TOUR DESCRIPTION:
After your short tender ride to the mainland, guests make a short transfer from Belize
City to the international airport for Immigration clearing, followed by immediate flight
connections to Flores, Peten in Guatemala. Here the majestic Maya ruins of Tikal
(Maya for Place of Voices) awaits them. This site is nestled in the dense jungles of Peten
and has been extensively excavated and restored, making it one of the most recognized
and impressive of all Maya Ruins. Guides accompany the road journey to and from the
site as well as provide fully guided services while at the site. A hot local lunch is provided.
Guests return to Belize City in time for final tender to the cruise ship.
Clients should be aware that there is a US$15.00 departure tax from Belize International,
and an entry visa fee of US$10.00 at Flores and US$20.00 departure tax from Flores.
